Passing of Beloved Worshippers
BCUC has suffered the loss of three faithful worshippers recently. Ralph Arthur died on Sunday 30th June. A private service celebrated his life.  Alan Newton and John Govan both died on Monday 8th July. A Service of Thanksgiving for John’s life will be celebrated at BCUC on Friday 19th July at 2pm. Details of Alan’s service will be announced in worship today. Please hold each family in your prayers as you offer thanks to God for the faithful witness and service to Christ and his Church given by these men. – Rob Williams

Alpha at BCUC – Come and invite someone along, Invitation cards available in foyer
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation.  The first session is on  Wednesday  July 31 at noon.  Signup in the foyer after service on Sunday.

Breathe: a guided prayer event for Alpha, BCUC & beyond
Sunday 28th July, 2-4pm.  In the worship space.  All members are invited to, and strongly encouraged to take part in this prayer event.  Come along and spend some time (as much or as little as you like) in quiet prayer and reflection for the coming Alpha course, for the people and new vision of BCUC, and your concerns in the community and world. There will be some props, music and suggestions to help guide your prayers.

BICC Quiz Night (& Youth Event)
Raising funds for Chaplaincy in local schools. The Burnside Inter-Church Council is hosting its annual Quiz night at BCUC on Friday July 26.  Arrive at 7:15pm. Tickets are $20 and are available from Rex King or the office; BYO drinks, nibbles, & coins. 

Saturday Friendship Club – 20 July
Warren Bourne, a retired music teacher from Adelaide University will be speaking on Ralph Vaughan Williams & an Illustrated talk about church and other music. Usual start time of 7:30pm, basket supper & visitors welcome.
